This early 190 SL with its bucket seats was completed in 1955 and most probably delivered to Switzerland where it was first registered on the 28th of December 1962 only. The history of this timeless convertible is only partially known but obviously the car was repainted a number of years ago from the original black to the current red. The soft top was replaced at one stage as well and the interior was restored and recovered in light brown leather. Around 10 years ago, the Mercedes was taken over by the last owner, parked in his garage and has not been driven since. In 2023/24 the cabriolet was recommissioned, a service was performed, the brakes overhauled, the steering dampers replaced and the car received new tyres. The paint shows some age-related defects but the interior present itself in lovely condition. The last Veteran MOT was completed in February 2024.
