1979 Ferrari 308 GTS (US Version) Chassis No. F106ASZ2718 The Pininfarina-styled 308 was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a supplement to the unloved Bertone-shaped Dino 308 GT4 and a replacement for the Dino 246. It was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti who had been responsible for some of Ferrari s most celebrated shapes to date such as the Daytona, the Dino and the Berlinetta Boxer. With sweeping curves and aggressive lines, the 308 has become the most recognized and iconic Ferrari road car. This U.S. specification GTS wears its original silver over black leather upholstery and tan carpeting. The interior is well presented throughout. The leather seats and headliner show a nice patina from delicate use and the carpets show very little wear. The dash is tightly fitted and all gauges are fully functional. All of the lights, turn signals, brake lights, radio, interior lights, PWR windows, and wipers are working as they should. The A-C blow cool but not ice cold. The undercarriage is in beautiful condition and shows much recent service work. The engine compartment has been nicely detailed and looks very tidy and correct. The Ferrari performs well with tight steering and solid, and sounds great with its stainless steel Euro-style Tubi exhaust. History Highlights and Service This car has lived the majority of its life in Florida. A history binder on file shows the car was regularly service from 1989-2006 at Tim Stanford Foreign Cars Inc in FT. Lauderdale.
