Introduced in 1980, the Ferrari Mondial 2 + 2 coupe replaced the Bertone-bodied 308 GT4, heralding a return to Pininfarina design. While closely related in technical details to its predecessor, the new Mondial carried a longer and wider chassis, providing better passenger accommodations. In 1984, the Mondial Cabriolet was released, the first convertible Ferrari since the Daytona Spyder of the early 1970s. The combination of topless design, strong performance, and superb road manners made believers of the enthusiast press. Offered here is the first-year Mondial Cabriolet, finished in handsome Rosso Corsa accented by tan leather interior, and black convertible roof with matching black boot. This particular Mondial remains in outstanding condition throughout, having accumulated just 9,950 miles from new, and displays exceptionally preserved original paintwork and factory alloy wheels.
