The MG T-series is widely credited with instigating the sports car movement in the United States as GI s returned from England with memories of small, quick, open roadsters that made up in fun what they lacked in displacement. Starting from the erect, square TC offered only in right-hand drive, MG quickly developed the more refined and streamlined TD and exported thousands to the U.S. It was followed by the sloped radiator, lower TF, the ultimate T-series MG and one of the favorites of collectors who appreciate its combination of classic MG sports car design with improved aerodynamics. This fully restored 1954 MG TF is finished in Black with Red leather interior and a Tan cloth top. It also has chrome wire wheels, full weather equipment, wind wings and a pair of outside mirrors mounted on the windshield posts rather than the more common but less attractive mounting atop the front fenders which interrupts the flow of the TF s fender line. It was restored to showroom condition some time ago and shows scant evidence of subsequent use. The paint, interior and top are excellent. It is a rare combination: an MG fully good enough to show with pride but also not so pampered and primped that it can t be driven with confidence.
