C est en 1988 que Porsche présentait la Carrera 4, sa première 911 à 4 roues motrices pour succéder à sa légendaire 3,2 L. Equipée d un 3,6 L développant 250ch et 310Nm, cette 911 qui ne deviendra 964 que par la suite, est la dernière à avoir conservé les ailes avant si caractéristiques de toute une lignée établie depuis 1963. Aux yeux des puristes, c est aujourd hui une valeur montante. Plus confortable qu une 3,2L, grâce à sa direction assistée, plus performante aussi, grâce à sa nouvelle géométrie de suspensions (ressorts hélicoïdaux remplaçant les barres de torsion ar), à l ABS et à son becquet relevable.Cette Porsche 964 Carrera 4 immatriculée le 19 04 91 n a parcouru depuis que 73873 kms avec seulement 3 propriétaires et se présente dans son état strictement d origine. Elle n a jamais été repeinte, et garde son blanc grand prix immaculé. Un fait suffisamment rare aujourd hui où de trop nombreuses Porsche 964 pré-92 ont été converties en Cup (jantes et rétros), cette voiture se présente avec ses jantes plates d origine en 16 et ses rétros carrés qui lui confèrent un charme et une authenticité supplémentaires. The Carrera 4 was introduced by Porsche in 88, as a successor to its well established 911 3.2l. The Flat 6 aircooled engine was increased to 3.6L, delivering 250 hp and 310 Nm and a brand new châssis, with coil springs, allowed the first ever 4WD 911 Porsche to be presented. A much more confortable car, thanks to power steering, and better ride. But safety was there too, thanks to 4WD, ABS and an electrically powered rear wing to increase downforce at speed.
The Porsche 964 is now seen as a milestone and becoming a rising star within Porsche collectors circles. The car presented here only covered 73873 km with 3 owners only. Still equiped with its much sought after original 16 flat wheels and standard rear mirrors, this car retains its original Grand Prix White painting. Immaculate and authentic. All original books and keys. French Title. Certainly an investment with high return potential.
