| This is an excellent example of only 179 cars supplied to the UK market. It is in superb original order and has covered only 38,000 miles with a full history from new. The car was originally supplied by Porsche dealer Lancaster in Bow London, the first owner was a Mr J Tuttle and it was delivered to him in June 1994 at Morgan Stanley in Canary Wharf. The car was serviced by the supplying dealer in November 1994 at 1,827 miles. Mr Tuttle used the car very sparingly, indeed it had covered only 6,000 miles when he sold it in 1996. The second owner was a Mr Usherwood of Wakefield. He used local dealer JCT600 in Bradford for maintenance work and they serviced the car in March 1996 at 6,349 miles and again in December '96 at 12,386 miles. The car was sold on the 26th September 1997 to a Mr D Revel, during his ownership servicing was carried out by Dick Lovett Porsche on the 2nd April 1998 at 20,475 miles and Merlin Porsche Nottingham on the 23rd March 1999 at 24,115 miles. In April 2000 the car was offered for sale by Dick Lovett Porsche in Bristol (copy of advert on file) they serviced it on 6th April 2000 prior to purchase by Mr David Hicks of Newport on 1st May that year. In June 2000 Mr Hicks purchased the appropriate number plate for the car A968 POR that remains on it today, it was not a cheap plate at £4,000. Mr Hicks was a very fastidious owner who took great care of the car. Every MOT, tax disc and all service and maintenance invoices from this period in the history file shows that any work required was immediately completed during his seven years of ownership. The car was maintained for him by Porsche Cardiff by the same mechanic as requested by Mr Hicks. He even insisted that they keep all of the bar codes from the Porsche parts replaced during service work. During his tenure the car was serviced on 1st March 2001 at 28,684 miles, 18th July 2002 at 30,483 miles, 8th September 2003 at 32,594 miles, 21st September 2004 at 33,677 miles, 16th September 2005 at 34,543 miles and 24th April 2007 at 34,739 miles. After 7 years of ownership and 8,000 miles Mr Hicks sold the car, the next owner being a Mr Jones of Capita Property Investments who acquired the vehicle on 6th September 2007. The car was sent to Porsche in Cardiff shortly afterwards with a brief to correct any defect. The invoice on file indicates that £4,500 was spent, work included new belts and bearings, new shock absorbers, new brake discs and pads, new oil cooler pipes, new gearbox seal shaft and new suspension bushes. The car was little used, indeed the car was serviced again by Porsche Cardiff on the 9th September 2008 at which point only 36,188 miles had been covered. Following this service the Porsche was stored and not used until earlier this year. In July 2011 the car was purchased by the last owner, an avid collector of the marque. In October the car was sent to marque specialists Autofarm for a full inspection and service. A major service was completed and all belts replaced additional work resulted in an invoice on file for £2,232. This must be one of the best 968 Club Sports around. It is in superb original condition throughout and has covered only 38,000 miles it has a fantastic history having been carefully used and dilligently maintained by each owner. A recent test drive confirms it is very positive and tight to drive and remains a rapid and impressive sports car even against more recent machinery. The car comes with all books and tools including original stamped service book along with a great history file that documents the car from new.
