I am tempted to say something about the new Ferrari F620 GT. Tempted... but let's wait until next week for the proper photos, or even better the week after when the covers are lifted at Geneva.

One thing's for certain: at the associated club events at next year's Kuwait Concours, there will surely be at least one in the car park. And hopefully in one of the many, more extravagant colours that look so good on cars in the region.

As I expected, last weekend's event in Kuwait was another success. While some of the entries were familiar to those fortunate enough to attend the best European and North American events, many were not.

And, in addition to the Concours, there were more than enough interesting cars on the public highway to elicit a "Cor, what's that?" from the visiting Brits.

It's the sound that hits you first. It could be an Italian V12, or a big–capacity, tuned American 4x4.

Or, even, a black Bentley Turbo that had seen one too many trips over the pavement — but I think you needed to be there to appreciate that one.
