Unlike the two cars currently on display at the National Motor Museum that still bear battle-scars from filming, the DBS sold at the Christie’s ’50 Years of James Bond’ sale – registration KX08 VLE – is fully roadworthy.
With interest in 007 at an all-time high, the timing was perfect for the Quantum Silver, RHD Aston to realise a price worthy of its silver-screen pedigree. And the new owner can take delight not only in the fact that they now have possession of such a machine – but also that it was all in the name of a good cause.
