Bonhams 2012 Goodwood Revival Sale News Flash


INCLUDES FULL RESULTS. Pre-War cars headed Bonhams' 2012 Revival sale with the 1928 Mercedes-Benz 36/220 6.8-litre S-Type Four-Seat Open Tourer selling for £2.8m and the 1939 Lagonda V12 Le Mans Team Car achieving £1.3m.

 Other pre-War cars of note finding new owners included the three Hartley Collection 1930-31 Maseratis (£533,500 for the Tipo 26, £432,700 for the V4, £1,681,500 for the ex-Campari Le Mans car) and £1,099,100 for the ex-Leonard Headlam, 1929 Alfa Romeo 1750 SS Competition Tourer.

Moving more up to date, the ex-BMC factory rally team 'Big Healey', ARX 91B, achieved £242,300 and a Classic Driver office favourite, the 1969 De Tomaso Mangusta, went for £129,180 - showing that these stylish Italo-American GTs are on the up.
