After an unveiling at Villa d’Este and a race appearance at the Nürburgring, Aston’s £330,000 + local taxes supercar will be shown to the general public for the first time at this year’s Frankfurt show.
The new model, with production limited to “up to 150 examples”, will be represented by the two cars raced at the 'Ring: ‘Zig’ in its bright green racing warpaint with spoilers, splitters and wings, and ‘Zag’ restored to Villa d’Este specification (racing interior but the minimum of external aerodynamic devices).
The British company has also released the images you see here, which show the “first conceptual illustrations of the road car variant” that will go into production from mid-2012 – 50 years on from the introduction of the DB4GT Zagato, now one of the world’s most collectible classic cars.
Joining the Zagato-bodied V12s will be a One-77 and examples of the recently launched Virage and Vantage S.
The Frankfurt motor show opens to the public on 17 September. For further details, see www.iaa.de.
