| Year : 1989 Make : Bentley Model : Continental Coachbuilder : Mulliner/Park Ward (Left Hand Drive) Body Type : Convertible Colour : Royal Blue Trim : Parchment Leather Piped Blue History : It was announced in 1981 by Rolls-Royce that the production of two door fixed head coupes in both Rolls-Royce and Bentley form would cease, with the decision taken to concentrate solely on convertible motor cars. The designation “Continental” had been used for some of Bentleys finest creations in the 1950’s and 1960’s and in 1984 the term was resurrected in the form of the Bentley Continental convertible. The stylish coachwork by Mulliner/Park Ward was designed by legendary stylist John Blatchley and was assembled and finished in London. This particular car was finished at Crewe in Royal blue with parchment leather interior piped blue and subsequently shipped in April 1989 to Rolls-Royce in Quebec Canada. It remained in Canada until the year 2000 when purchased by the second and most recent owner, returning to the UK in recent weeks. The original hood has been replaced with a new dark blue mohair hood, arguably making the car even more attractive than its original build specification. It has covered just over 53,000 kilometres from new, comes complete with tools and books and has been serviced, road tested and prepared in our workshops for the next fortunate owners immediate enjoyment. Condition : Very good condition throughout. Technical Data : Three speed automatic gearbox, power steering, 8 cylinder 90 degree V-configuration engine, 6.7 litres displacement, 6750cc capacity.
