Given that only 121 Spyders left the factory with the majority destined for the USA it’s not suprising a number of original GTB’s have been converted. Sold new via Maranello Concessionaires in 1973 and subsequently converted by Ferrari marque specialists during 1989 to correct Daytona Spyder specification at a cost of circa £50,000, the project also included a full engine rebuild too. Each of the 3 successive owners has indulged her further with continual and correct maintenance. Under its last fastidious owner the list of works has been exhaustive but these significant upgrades in particular should be mentioned…..newly repainted perfectly in Graphite Grey, re-trimmed in pale blue/black leather, new carpets fitted along with a new mohair hood. At the same time an extensive mechanical inspection was undertaken resulting in the brakes & suspension being uprated together with a thorough engine overhaul and the welcome addition of power steering was also added.
