Nicely Equipped Ready to Cruise In an attempt to make the Corvette more appealing to a wider audience, a series of running changes refined the 1954 Corvette and together they were integral to the development of America s sports car. For the 1954 Corvette, production was moved from Flint, Michigan to St. Louis and the new sports cars were assembled by small groups of technicians, rather than on an assembly line with only 3,265 units built that year. This first generation Corvette is finished in the classic combination of Polo White with Sportsman red upholstery. The body is in great condition and it has an older restoration that has aged well. The paint is not perfect but nice; we have pictured a couple of the flaws to give you an idea. Today the car is ideal to be used as a nice weekend driver-investment. The engine bay and undercarriage are nicely detailed and remain period correct and very presentable. Fitted equipment include radio, courtesy lights, directional signals, heater, Powerglide automatic transmission, long polish tips and correct red wheels with wide white-walled tires.
