The 2012 Keels and Wheels Concours Best in Class Winner 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Yenko Tribute Chassis No. 136379K353531 Don Yenko was one of the most famous muscle car tunists during the late 1960s. He had an extraordinary talent with potent muscle machines and created some of the most phenomenal and powerful muscle cars in his time. He began with Chevrolet s 1967 Camaro and continued to work with the model until 1969, when he decided to expand his inventory with the Chevrolet Nova and Chevelle. All of Yenko s cars were so drastically changed that they were no longer registered as a Chevrolet product but rather as a Yenko. Presented here is perhaps the most thoroughly restored and highly detailed Yenko tributes in existence. finished to a level beyond factory standards due to the exceptionally high quality of craftsmanship employed at every step of the recreation. Finished in flawless Lemans blue paint, offset by Yenko badging, correct white stripes and torque thrust wheels. The interior compliments with parchment white bucket seats, black loop carpeting with matching mats, Hurst 4-Speed shifter, Sun Super column tach, and Yenko Chevrolet paper floor protectors for display. The undercarriage, trunk and engine bay present just as well as the exterior. All frame, suspension and mechanical components were either painted or powder coated for durability with all new hardware and wiring throughout. Extensive research was appointed to insure all duplicate factory markings and tags were correctly numbered and placed in their proper locations.
