. Introduced in 1954 at New York, the Mercedes-Benz 190SL complemented the 300SL as a more affordable and equally stylish alternative, conceived by Mercedes U.S. importer Max Hoffman. Originally delivered to the USA in 1962, this example spent its life in California until 2004, when it was imported to Europe in good original condition and totally restored in Holland between 2004 and 2005 with no expense spared. The previous owner acquired the car and imported it to Greece in 2008, only due to the owners desire to reduce the size of his 50-plus car collection is the car now available, this 190SL is presented in excellent, Concours-quality condition. Complete with a selection of restoration photographs and invoices for recent work carried out, this lovely 190SL epitomises both Mercedes-Benz engineering and timeless style.
