This is one of the finest 2.7RS lightweight specification cars available. Based upon a correct left hand drive 1973 911 2.4, it features many original 2.7RS components including genuine engine and gearbox, ducktail boot lid, suspension and even steering wheel. It also features a set of extremely rare wider Fuchs wheels from a 2.8RSR.
The car is not only indistinguishable from an original it is also extremely well sorted and drives superbly. Acknowledged marque expert Neil Bainbridge has perfected the car over many years with no expense spared. The engine and gearbox have been rebuilt by specialist Bob Watson. The high spec includes titanium valves, lightened flywheel and other upgrades giving a dyno reading of 230bhp up from the 210bhp of a standard RS. Correct RS oil coolers are fitted, as are stainless heat exchangers and a custom made stainless exhaust system. At this time the suspension and braking system were completely overhauled.
The car comes with an extensive history file that details all owners in full and the extensive work completed over many years. We supplied this car to the last owner back in 2007, since purchase it has covered very few miles but has continued to be well maintained. Some 4,000 Euros were spent by the owner, a collector based in Ireland on servicing and upgrades, this includes new Revo engine mounts, new old stock dashboard top (to replace the cracked original), new clutch, induction kit along with much minor detail work.
In excellent order throughout, this car is faster, better handling and features finer detailing than most original RS models.
