| Bentley Speed Six Le Mans special. Short Wheel Base, year 1951. Colour British Racing Green with a green Connolly leather interior and green Wilton carpet. 19 inch green enameled wire wheels. This tremendous Bentley Speed Six Special was built on Bentley Mk VI chassis number B 60 LJ. The chassis was restored and the automobile was built to perfection in detail. The body and many other parts were derived from Bob Petersen engineering in England. The automobile was built by a Dutch Bentley mechanic who is known for his excellent skills. Photo's of the build are present as are documents and all invoices. this Bentley Speed Six special is in superb condition! The engine is a 'new old stock' 4.5 Litre B60 straight six, number 9985. The 145 bhp. engine comes with a test report. The gearbox is a four speed Bentley Mk VI with overdrive. The automobile features hydraulic drum brakes at front and mechanical power assisted drums at the rear. This Bentley Speed Six special drives absolutely fantastic and all mechanics are very easy to operate. The automobile needs nothing and is immediately ready for longer journeys and historic (rally) events. In the year 2010 the owner participated successfully in the 2500 km. long and demanding Tulpenrallye with this automobile. In total the car has driven just around 10.000 kilometres. The Bentley was serviced and maintained by specialists and the firm of Hurricane Racing have adjusted and fine tuned the ignition and carburettors. This Bentley Speed Six special is one of the finest specials we ever saw. The automobile is currently registered in the Netherlands.
