Phillips de Pury 26 October: Second ‘Evening Edition Sale’, New York

Works from Man Ray, David Hockney, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein are some of the highlights of a 78-lot catalogue of Modern Art to be auctioned by Phillips de Pury later this month.

Roy Lichtenstein’s ‘Roommates, from Nude Series, 1994’ ($120,000-180,000, above) is a leading piece to be offered at the company’s second ‘Evening Edition Sale’, to be held at 450 Park Avenue, New York 10022.

The sale coincides with the start of New York’s official Print Week 2011, the city’s annual “schedule of lectures, exhibitions, demonstrations, gallery talks, and openings, focused on printmaking and its vitality as an artistic practice”.

Viewing commences 22 October and the sale will be held at 18:00 on 26 October.
