Proven base Ex Salon de Genéve2002 BMW Série 3 2000 cabriolet Retractop 2.The concept for the Retractop roof was developed at the start of the new millenium by the design team at Cerizay. It was the logical outcome of all the work that had been carried out since the 1970s on the SM Espace, and the collaboration with the sunroof company Webasto-Heuliez, to offer a new kind of family convertible.The engineering was given particular attention not only to provide protection if the car rolled, but also to maintain the overall appearance – and room for four seatsonce the roof was in place. This highly interesting mechanism was fitted to the BMW Series 3 type E46 cabriolet at the end of 2000, and presented on the coachbuilder’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2001.This car is presented in excellent condition, and boasts a beige leather interior with wooden trim and aluminium alloy wheels. It has a straight-six petrol engine and five speed gearbox. The car has never been registered but is stamped with Heuliez numbers.
