| 1989 ASTON MARTIN V8 VOLANTE Series 5: One of only 172 Produced Mechanically the Volante followed the equivalent V8 or Vantage saloon of the period and in 1986 benefited, along with its closed cousin, from the reintroduction of fuel injection. Maximum power, which had dropped somewhat over the years, was restored to 305bhp in this final, Series 5 version. The latter is one of the rarer and more exclusive V8 variants, a mere 172 being built. Our car # 15764 supplied new on the 24th February 1989 to Sir Frank Lowe, London SW3, commissioned to be built in Balmoral Green with Tan Hide Interior and contracting green carpets. The car maintained by marque specialist, Ian Mason. Some ten years later Sir Frank sold the car to the prominent Aston Martin collector Mr Robert Clancy where it was looked after by official Aston Martin Heritage dealer Nicholas Mee & Co. When the V8 Volante came available for sale again in 2005 the original owner Sir Frank Lowe reacquires the car back as he regretted parting with the car in the first place! Nicholas Mee recalls fitting a handling upgrade package, Vantage Wheels and a sports exhaust to the car. Complete with original owner’s handbook pack and new warranty card, fitted car cover, the Volante is presented in excellent order with only 31,701miles represents excellent value for money for a truly low mileage V8 Volante. £79,995.00
