1987 Aston Martin V8 Volante series IV finished in Rolls Royce Royal blue with contrasting stone beige hide interior with walnut dash and door cappings and a recently replaced dark blue mohair hood lined in west of England cloth.
This is a superb 3 owner example, the current owner having owned the car for over 15 years and the total mileage is 79,000. During this time the car has had thousands spent on various sensible upgrades and regular annual servicing all of which is documented in great detail in the accompanying history file. In 2001 at 45,000 miles,the engine was completely stripped down and rebuilt by Oselli Engineering including porting and gas flowing of the cylinder heads, hence the mileage covered by the rebuilt unit is only 34,000. This car is fitted with a Vantage front spoiler and 16” Ronal wheels and a slightly higher rear differential unit giving lower RPM for high speed cruising. The specification also includes electric soft top with tonneau cover, air conditioning, electric windows, 6 stack CD system, ipod connector and retro fitted cruise control.
When these cars were produced, Aston martin claimed a top speed of
150 mph from an engine output of 305 BHP at 5000 RPM. This fuel injected variation was the last model of the V8 Volante to be produced and has gained the reputation of being the most reliable and even described as docile in heavy traffic.
It is very nice to find a car that has had so much care and attention lavished upon it for such a long period of time and as such we feel that it must be one of the best examples currently on offer. Sensibly priced at £79,950
