We’re feeling bullish about this Lamborghini Diablo SV

Marcello Gandini’s final Lamborghini is also one of our favourite modern classic supercars. If you’re looking for a raging bull, we highly recommend this Diablo SV coming up for sale with Henderson Auctions on May 6th.

There’s something about the devilishly handsome Lamborghini Diablo that we just can’t get enough of. As the final production raging bull to be designed by the legendary Marcello Gandini, it holds a special place in Lamborghini’s history. It’s also a lot easier to live with than it’s predecessor, the Countach, and the collector market is beginning to wake up to the many virtues of this 1990s supercar icon with prises rising concordantly. We think the time is right to add a Diablo to your collection, and you would struggle to find a better example than this 1991 Diablo SV coming up for auction at Henderson Auctions’ Collector Motor Series sale on May 6th

Finished in Rosso Vik over a Nero Alcantara interior, this Diablo manages to pull off the candy-red paint just as well as any of its neighbours over in Maranello. As one of only 26 facelift SVs built for the US, this Diablo might lack popup headlights, but it does have an extra 19 horsepower over the earlier cars. We also have to mention those wheels. Normally, chrome probably wouldn’t find its way onto a Classic Driver-approved specification, but we have to make an exception for these gleaming 18-inch OZs, which suit this Diablo perfectly. Other highlights include the high-end sound system and carbon fibre interior trim, but this car’s real party piece is unquestionably its 5.7-litre 529 bhp V12, which is operated via a gated 5-speed manual. So, if you’re looking for your own slice of 1990s supercar royalty, you search has come to an end!
