Porsche do ‘retro’ well. The 911 was first introduced in 1963, it was therefore an obvious choice to produce just 1,963 examples for this celebration model.

The Porsche 911 50th Anniversary was based on the 991 Carrera S and was built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 911.

Only 1963 examples were built and this number was chosen because in 1963 the first Porsche 911 was built.

Each 50th. Anniversary example was built in one of three special colors being pale Geyser Grey, darker Graphite Grey or Black.

Described by Evo magazine as ‘the 991 Carrera S at its best’, the Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition is a highly sought-after version of the renowned modern sports car.

The 50th Anniversary Edition shares bodywork elements with the contemporary Carrera 4S, as well as chrome strips on the engine cover grille, polished slats between the taillights, and “911 50” badging on the rear bumper.

The 50th Anniversary Edition cars sit 10mm lower than the standard Carrera, and braking is handled by red-finished six- and four-piston calipers acting on drilled and vented rotors.

Power is provided by a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six equipped with the Exclusive Powerkit in the 50th Anniversary Edition, raising output to 430 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 325 lb-ft of torque at 5,750 rpm.

ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE

This 2014 Porsche 911 is one of 1,963 50th Anniversary Editions built.

This example is finished in Geyser Grey Metallic over Agate Gray leather with Pepita houndstooth inserts.

The Porsche is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six fitted with the Exclusive Powerkit and mated to a seven-speed PDK transaxle.

Equipment includes a torque-vectoring differential, Fuchs-inspired 20″ wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management, the Sport Chrono Package with Dynamic Chassis Control, the Dynamic Light System Plus, a very desirable power sunroof and the beautiful Bose surround sound.

This 911 is an absolute amazing example in as new condition and finished in the nicest color combination.

The Porsche has had only 1 owner since new and the car drove only 12.000 kilometers.

Maintenance has always been carried out at the official Porsche dealer.

Although this 911 can easily be used on a daily base it is clearly a collectors car.

CONDITION EXTERIOR

A car with such a low mileage or actually a collectors car with such a low mileage is off-course in a brand new condition.

Not just in terms of mileage, the overall condition of the car is like new, with no signs of use.

We have not been able to find imperfections on the paint such as scratches or dents.

This car certainly is in a brand new condition without any signs of use. Even the wheels are not damaged because of parking damages for example.

The Porsche has been recently professionally polished and detailed and the car has the looks as if it was delivered yesterday.

CONDITION INTERIOR

Due to the extremely low amount of Kilometers which the car has driven, the condition of the interior is absolutely fabulous. No signs of damages or wearing can be found.

The car is in as new condition interior wise.

The front seats feature Agate Grey leather with white stitching, houndstooth Pepita inserts, and “911 50” embroidered headrest.

Standard features included an Alcantara headliner, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control, and optional equipment on this example includes heated front seats, Porsche Entry & Drive, a Bose Surround Sound system with satellite radio, and Power Steering Plus.

The engraved dashboard trim identifies this car as #0… in the series.

The gauges are throwback, with green lettering, white needles, and silver pointer caps — just like in the original 901.

DRIVING EXPERIENCE

When you take a seat on the drivers seat and look into the sidemirrors, the view is amazing as you can see the design of the rear of the car very well.

We’ve come to two conclusions about the 50th Anniversary 911: best-looking Porsche ever, and best 911 ever.

What’s so special? First and foremost, the shape. The 50th Anniversary 911 has the wide body from the Carrera 4S yet remains rear-wheel drive.

There are the massive, “cry from the past” Fuchs-style 20-inch wheels.

The car is modern with a firm understanding of the past.

What a wonderful design, reminiscent of the 356 in its curves. The 50th Anniversary car takes that great shape and pushes it further.

What’s it like to drive?

What a livable performance car this is. The first thing to do once you’ve warmed up that sweet six is push the centre console’s exhaust button to open up its lungs, and then the Sport button for the steering and throttle response.

The weighting of the steering is superb, and the stunning brakes not only give you confidence into a corner but also in positioning the car in traffic.

With its desirable sun roof, tasteful factory specifications, and incredibly low mileage, this 911 50th Anniversary Edition is a true collector’s item.

This model is already becoming both collectable and recognized as a serious future classic as well as a fabulous car to drive and enjoy.

We think the 911 50th Anniversary Limited Edition remains as popular and iconic today as when it was first built, and opportunities to acquire one are few and far between.

This example, in an extremely beautiful color scheme and with low original mileage, would be a superb addition to any Porsche connoisseur’s stable.
