Now celebrating its 50th year, the Range Rover continues to lead the class it created upon release.

As demand continues to grow for the best possible early two door variants, so too has the interest for the most original and well preserved four door vehicles.

Beginning in 1981, some 11 years after the release of the two door, the profile and legacy of the four door ‘Classic’ continues to inspire current versions of the ever popular and adept Range Rover we know and love today.

One of the finest early four door Range Rover Classics currently available, this original and unrestored, Lincoln Green 3.5 V8, has covered just 63,500 verified kilometres.

Delivered new to Land Rover Geneva in 1982, it has led a pampered and glamorous life in both Geneva and Gstaad, where it was garaged throughout winter. Its most recent home has been Zurich where it is part of a private collection, housed in a heated garage.

The current, third owner, is an enthusiast who has been fastidious in ensuring the car has been maintained properly. Along with appropriate fluid changes and correct service intervals, it has benefitted from a new ignition, exhaust, starter motor, battery and has had it carburettors tuned.

Specification of the car remains according to the build sheet from British Leyland. Accordingly, the original paint (HCB/LRC233), unmolested interior and full toolkit including the crank handle demonstrate the originality and collectability of this unique vehicle.

Very few Range Rovers from this era can boast such incredible condition, mileage and originality. Minor wear, in keeping with this originality, demonstrate that this car has been enjoyed and cared for in equal measure.

An opportunity not to be missed by lovers of the Land Rover and Range Rover brand, or indeed by collectors of all marques.
