Der BMW M3 diente zunächst als Basisfahrzeug für die Homologation in der Gruppe A und wurde einer der erfolgreichsten Renn-Tourenwagen aller Zeiten, so etwa in der DTM. Das Fahrzeug wurde von der BMW M GmbH, einer Tochterfirma von BMW, entwickelt und produziert.

Als Triebwerk wurde ein vom Motorblock des BMW M10 und Zylinderkopf des ursprünglich im BMW M1 verwendeten Sechszylinder-Motors BMW M88 abgeleiteter Vierzylinder-Vierventil-Motor mit der Bezeichnung S14 verwendet Das hochdrehende Triebwerk leistete ca. 200 PS, in der damaligen DTM als Touren-Rennwagen sogar bis zu 375 PS.

Bei dem von uns angebotenen M3 handelt es sich um ein sehr gepflegtes Sammlerfahrzeug im Originalzustand.

Die Historie ist durchweg gut dokumentiert. Es handelt sich um eine Deutsche Erstauslieferung.

Seit 15 Jahren ist er in der aktuellen Hand. Die Gesamtlaufleistung beträgt 92.724 km.

The BMW M3 initially served as the base vehicle for homologation in Group A and became one of the most successful racing touring cars of all time, for example in the DTM. The vehicle was developed and produced by BMW M GmbH, a subsidiary of BMW.

The engine used was a four-cylinder, four-valve engine with the designation S14, derived from the engine block of the BMW M10 and cylinder head of the six-cylinder BMW M88 engine originally used in the BMW M1. The high-revving engine produced around 200 hp, and even up to 375 hp in the DTM as a touring racing car at the time.

The M3 we are offering is a very well-maintained collectors vehicle in its original condition.

The history is well documented throughout. It was first delivered in Germany.

It has been in current ownership for 15 years. The total mileage is 92,724 km.
