Description

The E24 635 was solely designed and produced as a 2-door coupé and its proportions and lines reflect no compromises in the design team needing to cover both sedan and coupe platforms.

The CSi Highline came at the end of the E24’s production, giving this elegant coupe and grand tourer a more purposeful look, with improved roadholding, thanks to its TRX tyres and increased footprint.

Subtle but noticeable spoilers, side skirts and wheel arch extensions, seem even cooler today then back in 1990. Yes, this car was registered in January 1990, with production ending in 1989, G719PMW is really one of the last RHD to come off the production line.

Inside the Highline continues to provide that bit extra, even the dashboard is finished in stitched leather contrasting with the supple light grey leather, which extends throughout the interior.

The smooth as silk straight six, gives wonderful torque and once over 3000 rpm breathes strongly producing nearly 220BHP. Mated to its ZF switchable 4 speed automatic box, this 635CSi offers the perfect balance of performance with ease of driving, especially in today’s traffic conditions.

You kind of know when a car has kudos, when you discover one of Britain’s most prominent Automotive Industrial Designers, Ian Callum MBE, not only admires the E24 BMW 635CSi but owns this very example.

The car comes complete with its book pack, including Owner’s Handbook and Service Booklet.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, it is evident that this is a genuine vehicle in outstanding condition. From our paint measurements, we are confident the car still retains its factory paint and is free from blemishes or corrosion.

The MOT history dates to 2009 and shows the car’s careful and sparse use.

The original service book has some 19 stamps, although there are clearly periods when the car has been either stored or just not used.

In more recent years, the car has received regular and thorough servicing to include a recommissioning (2016) by a marque specialist.

The car has recently been fully serviced by our own service centre, with our colleagues at Revive-iconics being astounded at the cars condition, both on top and underneath.

This car can be used and enjoyed, undoubtedly having a great chance at winning a concours event for originality or go into a collector’s garage of special BMW’s.
