INCLUDES FULL RESULTS. In a sale that grossed just under 13m euros, one of the top-selling cars was this highly original 1963 DB4 Vantage Convertible. The LHD car had been in the same Swiss family ownership since new, and doubled its mid-estimate figure.
The highest price achieved at the dramatic Grand Palais venue this year was EUR 828,000 for the 1929 Bentley 6½-litre Speed Six Tourer.
Cars which caught the Classic Driver eye included the 1952 Alfa Romeo 1900 Sprint Berlinetta coachwork by Touring (EUR 184,000), the 1953 Jaguar XK120SE Drophead Coupé (EUR 93,150) and the 1966 Porsche 906 which sold for EUR 540,500.
On display in Paris was the one-of-a-kind, Bertone-bodied 1960 Aston Martin DB4GT that will be the centrepiece of the company’s annual Aston Martin sale, to be held on 18 May this year at Works Service, Newport Pagnell.
