Christian von Koenigsegg founded his own car company in 1994, with a desire to produce the world’s best supercar. In 1997, the company unveiled the CC prototype at the Cannes film festival. Its design and performance were well received, which helped push the car towards commercial production. In 2002, Koenigsegg began series production of the CC8S model, and has been producing hand-made supercars ever since.
