| The 330 GTC was replaced in 1968 by the superior 365 GTC. The styling remaining almost the same with differences being limited to non-vented front wings and the addition of new vents on the bonnet. The engine was of course an enlarged 4.4 Litre engine boasting more torque and horsepower. This vastly improved the cars performance. The 365 GTC retained the independent rear suspension employing coil springs and wishbones, the same of its immediate predecessor, though this was a relatively recent departure for Ferrari. Stopping power came from servo-assisted disc brakes all-round with a split circuit system. Integrating the gearbox with the final drive gave the car a balanced 50:50 weight distribution. A 365 GTC is a super rare and highly desirable beast with just 150 examples being built (including 22 in right hand drive) between the 1968 and 1970. This LHD example was originally supplied to Italy in Marrone Colorado with black leather in 1969. The majority of the cars life has however been spent in the USA. In the late 1980’s the engine was replaced with an alternative 365 unit, possibly as the result of a breakage. Today the car is presented in excellent order and drives exceptionally well. It has recently benefited over the last 6 months from a vast amount of work totalling just over $40,000. This includes; repair of the drive shaft boots, replacement of all fuel lines, preparation and fitment of a correct looking but stainless exhaust system, a major engine service and cam cover gasket replacement, a gear box oil change and a full geometry setup. Finally a modern but discreet and correctly installed air conditioning system has just been installed. The system looks absolutely correct and works as well as a brand new car making the car ideal for summer motoring. The car is US duty paid and can be viewed in Florida immediately.
