| This wonderful example of the Silver Ghost, chassis number 15TE went on test on the 23rd December 1920 before being delivered to it's first customer, a Mr. Herrmann in Belgium on the 2nd February 1921. According to the factory build sheets, 15TE was an Alpine Eagle specification car with nickel fittings and was to be fitted with a torpedo body. The Hooper body was confirmed by John Fasal, the renowned Rolls-Royce expert, after much research. He supplied a number of period photos of the car in the 1920's including some of the car stood on banking at Brooklands. The build sheet also tell us that 15TE was fitted with engine number N395, which can be still be found in the car today. After nearly 2 years in Belgium the car was bought by a Captain W. Brass MP in December 1922, before passing onto an E.H.S. Nugent Esq of County Down. The next change of ownership noted on the factory records was to a T.G.W. Haugthon Esq of Messrs. Frazer & Haughton Ltd in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, who acquired the car in December 1946 and is the last owner listed on the records. Later on, 15TE was acquired by a Mr J. Harkness of Northern Ireland in the 1950's, and he put it with other cars in his garage. The car stayed in the Harkness family until the mid-1990's, nearly 40 years on. After that the car was subject of a complete restoration. The body is painted in a rich Burgundy, with the wings being finished in Black and the original metal finished bonnet was left as it is. This is a truly stunning car that does every justice to the legend of the Silver Ghost and will go on to provide it's owner with many a year of driving pleasure and pride.
