French registration (Collector car)• The first model from the 308 family• A four seater • One of the first Ferraris of the ‘modern’ era1974 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4At the Paris International Motor Show of 1973 Ferrari presented a charming 2 +2 berlinetta coupé designed by the legendary Marcello Gandini of Bertone, the 308 GT4 Coupe, which marked a stylistic break from the Dino 246 GT, which had aged and was in the process of being phased out. Like the Berlinetta Boxer that had been introduced a year earlier, the lines were more angular in keeping with the times. But the most innovative feature was Ferrari’s first commercially produced mid-engined V8 – a new block of 3.0-litres, designed and manufactured at Maranello. Equipped with belt-driven four overhead camshafts, the transversely-located engine featured four carburetors and developed 255bhp, mated to a 5-speed gearbox connected to a ZF limited-slip diff. With its low weight of 1150kg, the ‘bombinette’ was capable of a 250km/h top whack and took just 6.4 seconds for 0 to 100km/h sprint, all very good figures for the time.This particular car, manufactured during the first year of production, offers a great combination of colors: silver grey livery associated with cream leather interior and red carpets, and the car comes with air-conditioning. The car has recently undergone a thorough mechanical overhaul, including the replacement of the timing belt and clutch, along with replacements of several other parts. The odometer displays a believable 75,520km. In good working condition, this car is in a nice original condition.
