Beschreibung

Launched by French manufacturer Renault in 1926, the Type PG was known in period as the Renault “Vivasix” model, along with the Type RA. It was the company’s largest offering at the time and production ran from 1926 to 1930, before being replaced by the Renault Vivastella.

According to a document on file, this Renault may have been owned in-period by the famous silent film star Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle. A right-hand-drive example, this Type PG showcases many of Renault’s pioneering features of the day including a silent starter fitted to the nose of the crankshaft and a radiator placed behind the engine that is cooled by fan blades on the flywheel. Acquired by the Mullin Collection in 2010, the Renault appears to have been the subject of a restoration some time ago and presents today with gentle patina.
